Wrinkles that radiate out from around the mouth are called lipstick lines (since lipstick often bleeds into them) or smoker lines (even though nonsmokers get them too). They are more common on the upper lip and are caused by the loss of volume that happens with age and photodamage and the repetitive puckering or pursing of the lips.
These lines can be treated non-surgically with Juvéderm to fill in the wrinkles or with Fraxel re:pair laser to resurface the skin and boost collagen production.

Nasolabial folds are the deep creases that run from the corners of the nose to the corners of the mouth. These folds sometimes arc around the corners of the mouth to form parentheses looking wrinkles. These folds are often one of the first signs of aging. They are due to loss of facial collagen and elastin, skeletal degradation and downward migration of the cheek pads. Photoaging can be a factor too. These folds can be temporarily reduced or eliminated using Juvéderm to either fill them in or to add bulk to cheeks which then pulls the skin around the mouth taut. Fraxel re:pair laser treatments can also resurface the skin and boost collagen production which can reduce these lines.
The oral commissures are where the upper and lower lips meet at the corners of the mouth. These corners can deepen and extend downward over time, looking like a permanent frown. Juvéderm can be used to fill in these lines or to bulk up other areas of the face (such as the upper cheeks) in order to lift the oral commissure area.

Juvéderm can be used to enhance thin lips and make them fuller.
I want to compliment you and your staff for the caring manner in which I was treated. You and your staff were genuinely concerned that I was comfortable and informed about the procedure I had. Each one of your staff members took the time to know my name, ask if I understood the medical procedure, explain what they were going to do and then answer any questions I had.
