Hats: Keeping you safe from sun damage

One of the easiest ways to prevent skin cancer, sun damage, age spots and premature wrinkles on your face is to wear a hat in the sun. When looking for a hat, you should make sure the brim is wide enough to keep the sun completely off your face, and if you can find one that shades your neck too, all the better. Baseball caps, tennis visors and cowboy hats are fine for keeping sun out of your eyes and off your forehead and may extend far enough out to protect your nose too. But they don't offer any protection for your cheeks and lower face. Look for brims that go all the way around the cap.
To help keep your face safe, we're now offering a large selection of hats in our second floor waiting room. All the hats come with an Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) of 50+ to protect you from both UVA and UVB rays. And if you don't find something in stock that you like, you can special order from our catalog. Get ready for spring and come get your sun hats!
